All Black Version of the Famous B-3
The all-black Cockpit B-3 Sheepskin Bomber Jacket will keep you comfortable in the most extreme weather. Brought into service by the Army Air Force in 1934, the B-3 black shearling jacket was originally designed to keep bomber pilots warm in unpressurized cabins at altitudes over 30,000 feet where temperatures were well below freezing.
The sheepskin (shearling) pelts are hand selected for uniformity, then sewn together twice - once by a loop stitch, then covered with a leather "tape" and sewn again, providing a windowpane effect.
As this men's black leather bomber jacket is worn, the leatherized sheepskin panels will distress to a suede finish, which will provide that weathered, battle worn look over time.
